Specialized applied Radial casing construction for a “Sweet Spot,” leading to lower radial stiffness, preserved lateral stability, and improved ride quality that smooths trails, promoting better control and more speed. Pressure tuning tends to kill compliance as higher PSI settings are applied; Sub-optimized casing angles typically result in less-than-desirable riding experiences. Specialized increased the angle of thread orientation on the Butcher Grid to achieve the Sweet Spot Ply, amplifying traction and comfort by optimizing tire shape conformity, all while preserving the lateral stiffness employed when hitting hard corners.

Engineered radial construction meets the already dominant compound and tread pattern employed on Butcher Grid Gravity Tires. Gripton T9 compound acts with slow rebound, shaped into an optimized tread pattern featuring knobs with a block-on-block design that digs into loose terrain and has the stability and hooked up feeling to inspire the confidence needed to achieve blistering speeds on the trail. Finally, these tubeless-ready tires are safe to use on hookless rims and can be run with tire inserts for even more protection against impacts and pinch flats.
