A large volume Race casing has been developed to reduce redundant materials which will lighten the tire and improve the ride quality while retaining great stability and structure. To ensure punctures don’t derail a great ride, a SealSkin protective layer has been placed under the tread, and a CarbonBead BeadLock ensures these tires will tenaciously hang onto the rim throughout the tires lifespan. To this voluminous base construction, they have applied their Pulsar Compound with outstanding durability and grip, and a smooth tread design with just enough siping is cut into that compound to provide predictable handling manners over a wide variety of road surfaces and weather conditions. Last but certainly not least, as the name implies the Silca Protocol RCR Tubeless Road Tire is designed to be used with a tubeless ready wheel system and tubeless tire sealant, and when everything is combined the result is a remarkable comfort and performance upgrade for any modern road, all-road, or gravel bike.
