Shimano SH-SD501 SPD Cycling Sandals (Black) (43)

Shimano SH-SD501 SPD Cycling Sandals Description:

Shimano SH-SD501 SPD Cycling Sandals deliver surprising performance in a comfortable and stylish cycling sandal. High quality mesh and synthetic leather is used in the uppers to add considerable stability, and the ankle structure and two hook and loop straps keep the foot securely in place. A reinforced sole ensures the power that the rider is generating gets efficiently transferred to the pedals, and a grippy rubber sole means the feet make secure contact with the ground and the surface of the pedals. Best of all, the sole accepts any 2-bolt clipless pedal cleat, so these shoes are ready for anything from having a fun ride around town with friends and family to taking on a multi-day, cross-state tests of endurance with hundreds of fellow riders and new acquaintances.

Features:

• Warm weather casual riding option that fits and feels like a sandal but with the pedal efficiency of a traditional cycling shoe
• Glass fiber reinforced shank plate from the ball of the foot to the heel delivers impressive sole rigidity and great power transfer
• Slightly curved sole and more flexible toe allows for more natural feel when moving around off of the bike
• Grippy rubber outsole grabs onto the surface of the pedal and on the tarmac for confident and safe maneuverability on and off of the bike
• Classic dual strap design and supportive ankle cuff prevents the foot from sliding around the sandal and makes adjusting the fit a breeze
• Smooth mesh and synthetic leather liner eliminates friction on the skin and is comfortable enough to allow riding without socks on very hot days
• Very similar fit and sizing as Shimano’s more traditional cycling shoes
• Accepts 2-bolt clipless pedal cleats, like Shimano’s legendary SPD style cleats (cleats are sold separately)
