Salsa Fargo 32 Steel Frameset Description:

The Salsa Fargo 32 Steel Frameset adds unbelievable stability and speed to the Fargo’s already legendary capabilities. This frame and fork are specifically designed to fit 32″ wheels that will allow the Fargo to roll more easily over bumps and obstacles than a bike equipped with smaller diameter wheels so it is easier to maintain speed, plus this frame and fork can accept up to 2.4″ wide tires that will provide excellent comfort and traction. The triple-butted chromoly frame and full carbon fiber fork are incredibly strong and stiff enough to allow the bike to track properly down the trail while delivering a smooth ride. Leaving no stone un-turned, this frame is outfitted with easy to service external derailleur cable and brake hose/housing routing, a threaded bottom bracket, a plethora of rack and accessory mounts throughout the frame and fork, and Salsa’s Alternator dropouts so the incredibly adaptable Salsa Fargo 32 Steel Frameset can be built into a dream machine that is ready to go wherever the rider wishes to go.

Features:

• Triple-butted chromoly steel frame tubes tapers the tube wall thickness (thicker at the welds, thinner in the middle of the tube), resulting in excellent strength, less weight, and a comfortable, lively ride
• Carbon fiber fork is stiff for predictable handling and will absorb trail/road buzz to reduce rider fatigue
• Revamped geometry has been optimized for using a drop-style handlebar and a short stem (can be adapted to use a flat handlebar with a slightly longer stem), and provides outstanding stability and traction over mixed terrain whether the bike is loaded with cargo or not
• Rear Alternator 1.0 Flat Mount fixed-position dropouts accepts a boost spaced (12x148mm) thru axle, has an UDH-style derailleur hanger, and has threaded holes for installing a rear rack
• Different Alternator dropout plates can be purchased separately for different drivetrain configurations (including a single speed version), brake mount style, and/or wheel hub spacing
• Rear rack mounts on the frame and three-pack mounts on each side of the fork gives this frameset the versatility to be set up for anything from bike commuting to long-haul bike adventures
• Externally routed, full-length derailleur and brake cable housing keeps grit and grime from impacting the shifting and braking performance
• SRAM UDH Alternator 1.0 configuration extends compatibility to SRAM Transmission drivetrains, including XPLR 13-speed rear derailleurs
• 73mm threaded bottom bracket shell reduces the risk of creaks, and accepts wide-spaced road/gravel cranks and mountain bike cranks
• One to three water bottle cage bosses (depending on frame size) provides room for hydration and additional mounting points for accessories
• Rigid fork can be swapped out for a 32″ wheel specific suspension fork with 80mm of travel for improved comfort and control over rugged terrain without impacting the bike’s handling manners (suspension fork sold separately)
