Ritchey WCS Carbon Tapered Adventure Fork (1-1/8″ to 1-1/2″) (Black) (50mm Rake) (12mm Thru Axle Disc)

Ritchey WCS Carbon Tapered Adventure Fork Description:

The Ritchey WCS Carbon Tapered Adventure Fork is designed for those whom are looking for adventurous escapes on the bike and they want the confidence to be able ride over any surface. Tough high modulus carbon fibers and cutting edge construction techniques put less bends in the fibers as they flow throughout the fork which results in a torsionally stiff and robust fork with just the right amount of dampening to take the sting out of rough surfaces. Internal hub dynamo cable routing allows the user to install a headlight that will stay lit as long as the bicycle is moving, and fender and porteur/lowrider rack mounts on the fork blades provide attachment points that will allow a rider to haul everything they need when and wherever they go on the bike.

Notes:The hole in the front of the fork crown shown in the images will be closed and is not intended to attach a light or any other accessories. Multiple accessory mounts along the fork legs as well as dropout rack mounts can be used to attach racks or other accessories (max weight capacity is 2.5kg, or 5.5lbs, per leg). Finally, a maximum height of 30mm of headset spacers can be used between the top of the bicycles headset and the bottom of the stems steerer tube clamp.

Features:

• Designed to provide the comfort, cargo capacity, durability, and performance so a rider can tackle seemingly insurmountable distances over any riding surface
• Widely spaced fork blades deliver generous clearance for wider tires for improved traction, a smoother ride, better flat prevention, and stability especially when carrying cargo
• Lightweight high modulus carbon fiber construction delivers incredible strength and durability while fighting off rider fatigue by dampening road and trail chatter
• Integrated 45° crown race and less bends in the carbon fiber as they flow through the 1-1/2″ crown/steerer area improves impact strength by more effectively distributing stress throughout the forks structure
• Thru axle improves torsional rigidity for great handling manners and makes it much easier to align the disc rotor within the caliper when installing the wheel
• Dynamo cable internal routing allows a hub dynamo powered headlight that shines bright as long as the bike is moving to be installed on the bike
• Fender and porteur/lowrider rack mounts on the fork blades with black stainless steel hardware provide attachment points to haul the gear needed for self-supported adventuring/backpacking trips (2.5kg, or 5.5lbs, max capacity per fork blade)
• Fits 44mm headtubes when used with a EC44/40 lower headset cup/bearing, 55mm headtubes with a ZS55/40 lower headset cup/bearing, and 56mm headtubes with ZS56/40 lower headset cup/bearing
